Pure Elegance: OPEN Saturday 4-5:50pm
There is magnetism in a dancer who can ooze elegance in their dance. My hope is impart a better hold on your inner grace and bring it forward in a combo geared toward making an emotional connection that the viewer can’t take their eyes off. This workshop will start off with a warm up that will prepare us for strong posture and fluidity in the arms. We will focus on a deeper awareness of the lines and shapes our bodies make in our movement.
Heather Powers is a fusion belly dance performer & instructor based in Portland, ME. Heather knew from the moment she learned her first hip hit she was going to be a devoted belly dancer for life.
After receiving a bachelor degree of arts in 2010, she has devoted herself to studying and teaching belly dance. She attends whatever training she can globally and locally and studies different styles of dance such as hip hop, ballet, and jazz to constantly add more colors to her palette.
Heather’s unique style focuses on subtleties in clean strong movement with long elegant lines creating a poetic visual experience.
She also never wears matching socks.
